Gifton is a gift certificates exchange system that was designed to cancel all worries that robots, AIs, etc will ever take our jobs.

I am searching for people to really grasp how it works so here is a short, down to the point description of it.

What can you do? Can you hairdress, make tattoos, grow food, prepare food, knit hats, make massages, something else?

Gifton allows you to print gift certificates for your products and services. Once printed it is automatically donated to the community bank.

In exchange you receive giftons amount which you can spend only on buying gift certificates printed by others.

So effectively you can print giftons by gifting your gift certificates to the community.

Why buy anything for money you have to earn first when you can buy it for giftons that you can print before doing any work?

Anybody would rather buy for giftons. The question whether the thing you want to buy is sold for giftons in your local community.

This is where the need for your goods and services arises, not for goods and services of some transnational corporation that provides them cheaper or with more quality.

In essence this solves the mass unemployment due to jobs automation crisis that is inevitable sooner or later. AIs are only going to get better. There is no other direction for technical progress.

The problem of mass unemployment can be reduced to your problem of finding customers in a world where 2–3% of population can do everything anybody needs cheaper and with more quality than you can.

The answer to that is to create internal economies for other 97–98%. But protectionism doesn’t work very good.

Welcome to Gifton.

Stop working first then receiving money to spend. Just print giftons and spend them first. Then do your work when you are asked to accept your gift certificates.

Bernard Lietaer said in his famous interview by Sarah van Gelder (which can be found at https://transaction.net/press/interviews/lietaer0497.html):

“we can produce more than enough food to feed everybody, and there is definitely enough work for everybody in the world, but there is clearly not enough money to pay for it all.”

So let’s pay for it with giftons.

If not Gifton then what?

Few people suggest solutions to this problem. Bill Gates proposed taxing robots. But I envision problems here with what is considered one taxed robot and how to measure preferred taxation levels.

If not Gifton then what?

Please, ask this question to your thought leaders.

Currently this project is in planning stage. It needs some financing for software development.

I kindly ask you to participate with your $10 crypto donation at:

I just came out of a very complex life situation, part of which was me being homeless and living on the streets of Kyiv, Ukraine. Big thank you to people who helped me to repair my phone and rent a room. Still I need to buy a laptop at least to continue my work on Gifton.

As a Belarusian living in Ukraine I have all my Ukrainian bank cards blocked and my Belarusian bank cards not working. So the only option for me to receive money is cryptocurrency.

The result of the work I want to do will be open source software code that I want to gift to the world so anybody can pick it up to run a local Gifton community as a business.

The business model will be taking a small percentage of all issued gift certificates and selling them for money at low enough prices so that it is sold like hot cakes. The main business function will be checking the Gifton community participants for adhering to the agreed rules.

This market niche is almost empty everywhere. So would you want to run such business? Please, support my work and get first to the market in your community.

If not Gifton then what?

I am genuinely interested in fresh answers to that question.
